I took this at sunset while we were heading home from dinner. The layers caught my eye of the peak and the smaller mountains in front, and then the rocks. We are experiencing high winds today and yesterday that is causing the smoke from the fires on the New Mexico-Colorado border to head up our way. You can see the effects of the hazy smoke over the mountains.
I just read an article on Digital Photography School that I think your picture nailed so completely. It was looking at how Memoirs of a Geisha was filmed in low light and gave the scenery such a dreamy floating type of feel.
@peggysirk Thank you so much Peggy! Your comments put a huge smile on my face! I had a hard time deciding whether to keep this one in color or change to B&W. I liked the color with the sun setting, but the B&W seemed to bring out the contrasts of the layers better. Thank you again!! :)
