This was taken a few days ago as we stopped to take in the Mississippi while crossing into Illinois from Iowa. Such a large amazing river compared to what we have home in Colorado!
@pixelchix Heather, thank you so much for your comments! I am near Chicago for a conference, but will be heading back to Colorado in the next few days! It's been fun being in the big city, but it's a little too warm and humid here for me!
Simply wow! I have said it with your shots before but I will say it again, I love the layers of the sky, then the silhouette of the trees, the reflections of the sky and then darkening into the foreground.
PS I loved Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer so would love to see this for real
