Feeling pretty lucky to capture this shot of one of the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep in the Garden of the Gods today. Patience sure paid off as this guy made his way toward me and looked up right through the trees and snow!
Wow Wendy! This shot is amazing! We see these almost every time we make it down the mountain but I've never had the opportunity to get a shot like this! You made this beast look absolutely breathtaking!
@denisedaly Yes, they are! They usually stay a pretty good distance from people, but this one made his way down the hillside and I was lucky enough to capture him at the right moment. They are often busy eating the brush and don't look up often either. Thanks so much!
Beautiful capture. These are fascinating creatures, but I cannot say they are the prettiest. That is when I get to see them. That is usually in the summer months when their coats are shaggy and they blend into the rocks quite a bit.
Wow! Wendy, this is an absolutely amazing shot. I love your editing and know you usually take different exposures to do HDR. I have always loved how beautiful your shots are because they are done just right and not overdone. You really have an eye for that. I am wondering if you did this one hand held without hdr in mind. Since it's an animal and they can move so quickly, I just wondered how you edited this one. It's just breathtaking! Fav!
Wow, what a stroke of luck that he showed himself to you and that he was kind enough to stand still long enough for you to get this stunning capture. To that luck add a heavy dose of talent for the perfect focus followed up with your tasteful editing. This is one of your best yet Wendy!
This just leaves me breathless. I would love to follow in your footsteps for just one day - the beauty in that area (well, really all of Colorado) is outstanding and you're presenting it in the best way possible. This photo is professional grade - the lighting and detail are so awesome. Fav. It is a must to be viewed large!
