Taken on top of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. As the colors started to change and light up the sky, it was a race to capture the beauty before me. As a landscape photographer, I feel as though I prepare, prepare, and prepare for the sunsets and sunrises, trying to be at the right place at the right time. The night I shot this sunset, I was at the right place at the right time, however, another dilemma presented itself with multiple angles to shoot as I finally hiked to the location I had chosen to shoot. I took advantage of every angle, every shot, and every moment I could until the light was no more. I even have some pretty awesome protruding bruises on my shins for proof, lol!
Your sunset shots are totally awesome - you've obviously checked out some fantastic locations ahead of time - the sunset you have to just hope on, but the settings have really been making the shot. Gorgeous. Major FAV
