This happens to be one of my favorite waterfalls I have had a chance to photograph. I am mystified by its layers of rock, color, and flow of water. The fall season adds much richness, but the spring adds layers of green and a rush of water cascading down the rocky terrain creating a uniqueness between seasons. I slowed down the water with a long exposure to create the silky flow. It seems to echo my life right now. I would love to slow down time...time with my kids (my daughter is to graduate from high school this year), slow down the seasons that seem to fly by at warp speed, and slow down to take in more opportunities to enjoy simple moments of pleasure. The older I get, the more I appreciate the simple things in life and the importance of quality over quantity. It's what lifts my spirit and mind.
This is so lovely, and I recognised it immediately because I've actually been there! We had such a great time in that area, and rode the McKenzie River Trail. This looks like such a lovely time to visit though, with all that green around it. I feel what you're saying about time as well. It sure is a juggling act with kids, family, work and personal interests. You have a great attitude though :)
