I wasn't sure the sunset was going to be decent tonight and waited until the last minute to head over to The Garden of the Gods. As I got closer, I could see the clouds were starting to clear to the west over Pikes Peak, but the clouds to the south had lots of promise. I raced over to park at the overlook seen here and setup my equipment with minutes to spare. The colors just seemed to explode as I shot some vertical photos for this panoramic! It's been a while since I have had a chance to capture such wonderful color in the Garden!!
Good instincts. I find I am always racing against time with sunsets and sunrises. God should give us a "Pause" button. This is a fabulous capture.
