I am finally home from my fall photography travels and now starting to process some of my shots. I was greatly conflicted as the time approached to travel to my favorite Colorado locations... the forecast was calling for no clouds and blue skies for several days in all my favorite locations. That is torture for a landscape photographer! I would rather have several days of snow, rain, and sleet to create the magical drama I dream of photographing than no clouds for days!
So, the day I was packed and ready to leave for my Colorado adventure, I heard there had been snow in the Tetons and last minute, decided to head north to Wyoming. I was so glad I made that choice and had some great photographic experiences while I was there. This shot was taken at sunrise at Oxbow Bend. I have dreamed of a shot like this here and felt overwhelming joy and peace watching the scene unfold as the sun came up.

Excellent shot and super processing. If I was there at that time to shoot this, I would probably have literally been shaking with excitement, as I have been on a few occasions before. Non-photographers can't understand something like that, but many shooters I have spoke with over the years say they know exactly what I mean when we talk about witness to and shooting these kinds of scenes. Well done.
