It was a very rainy day and, although I did take a picture of my birthday card, the shot was nothing to write home about. Hence, this shot that was taken early this summer.
While I promised myself that I would take pictures of events that I could use as a journal, and use only pictures taken that day so to be honest, I also have to consider that others are following me. I really do not want to post garbage either.
This girl was a very patient mother, but I think that the record heat of the summer killed her eggs. She sat on them for over a month before finally abandoning her nest. Her mate faithfully brought her food, but he too eventually gave up.
This is a great picture! I like to photograph birds but I do not have a great lens to do this with. It is very hard to take pictures every day and some days you end up with nothing . . . but other days you get a few that you like and want to share. Keeping a journal of life is also a good idea - and while you don't want to bore others - followers on 365 are almost like friends. I have watched children and pets grow, families have weddings and babies, and many a pregnancy belly grow monthly.
I watched a home be built and witnessed cancer treatment through photography. This is a wonderful site and can be used however you want. There are photographers here who are pro and many newbies - and everyone shares tips and helpful information. If you want to know how someone did some special effect - just ask them. They will share. Meanwhile just keep taking pictures. You will be surprised how much you learn and how different your pictures are from the first day to the 365th!
