Bruce and his new toy

All the farmers in the area could not understand why we bought a skid steer instead of a tractor. Well, it beats the heck out of a tractor cleaning barns and pens! And, we use it to feed out big round bales like a tractor would as well.
Bruce enjoying a coffee break on a really warm, wet January day. So unusual, but we will take it.

We use a skid steer around here too (though we also have a tractor now).Personally I hate moving bales around with it just because of the weight - bales are too heavy to carry low, and I always feel like I'm going to tip over. I'm well aware you can only tip so far, but it still feels too precarious for me! Doesn't seem to bother the husband too much though. And it's definitely hard to beat it for maneuverability moving earth or cleaning pens.

That's my favorite toy especially when working in the barn or feedlot pens. Once ya get the hang of it, it's the best way to clean everything up.

@ar_ranchhand I let Bruce do the majority of the work on that machine, though I am sure that I will need to get good on it eventually as Bruce tends to travel lots.
