Bullrush 2 by farmreporter

Bullrush 2

OK, I confess. This was actually taken today (Feb 13) but I wanted to catch up on my derelict duties.
So here is a picture of a plant that we have growing in our ditches. It gets to be about 10 feet high, has fluffy white fronds on the top in summer - falls down and looks like this in winter.
I call everything that grows in stagnant water bulrush - not it's real name!
Wow it grows 10 feet? Great detail in this photo!

Nice close-up. I've heard this called "pampass grass", but I'm not sure that is correct either.
