Commemeration Gesture

I went to a Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) event at a local church. It was quite moving.
They adapted the Jewish custom of leaving a pebble on a gravestone to show our presence and our remembrance into the Yom HaShoah ceremony with the placing of a pebble on a Jewish prayer shawl placed on a table.

What a lovely gesture and i bet it was really moving... do you know that the jewish Prayer shawl is made here in Burnley Lancashire at a local mill that was also used in the film The Kings Speech?... i have a photo of it somewhere... i will upload it later if i remember... still a great shot there though.
