We had kept our lambs for a buyer even though we were getting offers for them on Kijiji and from other customers who came up our farm gate looking for lamb for Greek Orthodox Easter. He backed out of the sale at the last moment, leaving us scrambling to sell these 12 lambs we set aside for him.
You can imagine how ticked we were, especially because we had turned customers away. And this man was supposed to be our friend!
We were forced to bring them to the sale barn, and had to take the price given. We did lose a lot of money on this.
But, one good thing, is that we did hold back a few heavy lambs so I can do the Farmers Market. It will be starting up again soon.
Who needs friends like that....happens though unfortunately & sickening when you kept them specially & now lost money which is so hard come by! You kept your bargain though so can hold your head up & word gets around!!!
