This is how busy farmers bring in the winter's supply of fuel. Just order in a truck load of log length wood, stack it by the barn, and then haul out the chain saw as time permits to cut the logs into stove length wood.
It is so much more convenient than cutting the dead wood out of your own bush - but it is harder on the pocketbook!
The driver of the truck can unload this truck in tern minutes or less by climbing into the back seat of the clam bucket, and lift the logs out, and place them neatly where you need them to be.
@barrowlane@gmost I kind of thought this photo would get the men's attention.
We heat solely with wood. I think this will last two years, Hubby says not. Of course, I am a little more cheap with the wood since I have to lug it into the house,. Hubby likes to burn it hot and open a window.
Wow, I feel like an amateur, getting cut wood delivered! (We do cut some from our northern property, but that means hauling it here a half-cord at a time.) Great shot and interesting info.
Wow! This is another great shot of life on a farm. I am amazed this could last that long with the very cold winters you have. Does one stove heat the entire house?
