This was the oldest dog participating in the sheep dog demonstration I went to today. The instructor said that older dogs will do almost anything so that they won't have to chase the sheep too fast - they go wide around them so the sheep aren't spooked, they work them slow to make sure the sheep are obedient, and as is shown here - they will push and hold them against a fence so the sheep are trapped.
These girls were ticked with no way to escape. They were stamping their feet the whole time the dog held them there.
Experience wins every time!
Thanks for the challenge, it sounds great ;) My task for you is a self-portrait - as I saw you haven't upload this kind of shot yet, but maybe I just simply couldn't see it.. Tell me if you don't want to shot yourself, and I'll figure out a new one :) Have fun!
Oh and thank you so much for the following- happily following back :)
Great photo it really looks impressive when viewed large. The concentration on the face of the dog and the sheep is just brilliant. Also the colour of the growth on the fence line is really autumnal.
I am looking forward to seeing the results of your challenge from Palmilla. Don't duck it! I'm going to take a look at what you gave her now.
