It is really amazing when a person gets a 'Eureka' moment and I had one today.
I have always been disappointed with my DoF when set either my aperture or ISO (but not both) - but today I discovered that I can achieve results I want by setting both aperture and ISO and letting my shutter speed make the necessary adjustment.
Et voila! (excuse my terrible French!)
These are tiny berries against a fencepost using my macro lens late in the afternoon with fading light - please note that everything is in focus! And yes, they actually have bright blue stems.
And I am so impressed!
Love the colors and textures in this picture. I am still on auto after all this time -- congratulations to you for going manual . . . I will someday soon - I need to take some classes first.
