Nature's Frosting

Who needs man-made tinsel and garland when Nature provides all the beauty required?
Frost covered trees line the laneway of this Kirkhill farm creating a Christmas card perfect scene for those driving past on Old Military Road. The man who owns it was first elected to the Glengarry Holstein Club in 1964, and served Glengarry Holstein producers right through to his election as President of Holstein Canada in 1990. He is now retired but his son continues to milk Holsteins in this barn that stands in the shadows of the churches of Kirkhill.
Another view of this same shot when I was experimenting with the white balance can be found at http://365project.org/farmreporter/altered-states/2013-12-23 .
