She is no longer the gangly heifer she was last winter. She is growing up to be a deep bodied cow, just like her mom.
But, she is still the youngest of the bunch, and therefore on the bottom of the totem pole. She gets booted from the grain by all the others.
Oh well, her time is coming!
Happy New Year, everyone!
Beautiful picture. It speaks to me. I love the quiet earthy colors and the textures.

Wonder if she feels cold with that snow on her back?

Happy New Year, Wendy. Brrrrrr… so cold - but iI guess that you're all (cows included) used to it. Only a couple of days to go and an apology - I've failed to take a photo for your challenge. I'm at the seaside and haven't really seen anything that meets the criteria. Hope you don't mind if I tag you with a deleted photo.

@happypat Thank you, Pat. And she has such a sweet, gentle nature as well!

@serenebarb The snow on her back means that she has a really good winter coat that insulates her well and she probably doesn't feel it there.
Just like snow on the roof is a good thing - there is no heat lost out of the house to melt the snow.,
