Age clearly shows on the walls of this outstanding hewn log barn. Many logs have long cracks, and the mortar has long since fallen out. The owner cannot vouch for the construction techniques used or whenever it was built, but he does say that there was an extension on the barn that he had to remove three years ago. While this farm is quieter than in its heyday, and nothing lives in this heritage barn, the owner does use it to catch the dairy heifers he puts on pasture at the barn during the summer.
