It's a filler for my project.
Baling has got to be one of the most stressful times of farming. So much depends on making good hay!
And so much is out of our hands. Will the rain hold off? Will the equipment break? Should we cut it all or just some of it?
We are always so pleased when it gets done and off the field.
Beautifully farming photo......it looks great hay...warmed by the sun which makes so much difference! Nothing beats getting up in the morning & knowing you r winter feed is in the barn! I used to look out of the bathroom window at the other farm & see the stack of silage all sheeted up.....even better feel good if its raining! We used to make the small oblong bales & cart them in on a trailer then stack them by hand, thank goodness those days are over!
Nice perspective in this shot. I didn't have to check the weather forecast this week: I saw all the cut fields yesterday, so I knew the weather was forecast to be dry for the next few days.
