Baling again by farmreporter

Baling again

We only cut half of the acres we have on Sunday because we knew there was lots of rain coming on Thursday. We would rather get some hay in dry and leave the rest for later than have everything wet.
The dust coming out of the baler is a good sign - it means the hay is nicely dry.
No dust means hay is not ready to bale yet. (or you have to wrap or preserve it.)
We managed to get 73 bales done before the rain - then the baler broke. Arrgh!
Oh well, the hay that got rained on will dry once again and get baled later I guess.
Farming is nothing more than crisis management!

I loaded the wrong photo last time - it was blurry. I actually meant to load this one instead.
So I deleted it and replaced it with this one. So sorry for those who commented before.
Like you focus in this. Time travels so quickly! It doesn't feel like a whole year has past since I saw you hay making photos. Hope the rain holds off. Fav.

I like watching the balers at work. I also like that I don't share the stress! Hope you got all your hay baled okay in the end.
