According to Wikipedia, the Lake Buccaneer is an American four-seat, light amphibious aircraft originally developed as the Colonial C-2 Skimmer, itself a development of the two-seat Colonial C-1 Skimmer in the 1950s. The landing gear shown actually folds up into the belly, allowing the plane to land on water.
Hubby prefers the colour version so, to make him happy, I relented and posted it. (Things we do to keep our men happy ... LOL!)
Your opinion on which you prefer is appreciated. The edited version entered in the ETSOOI challenge is here: http://365project.org/farmreporter/altered-states/2016-10-18
You really do a great job recording your world. You have tried lots of things. I didn't go way back so I maybe wrong, but didn't see a low key shot. This was one of my favorite challenges. Can't wait to see what you do.
@joansmor Thank you, Joan. I have been itching to try this but never got around to it so thank you so much for the challenge. I have been neglecting 365 to the last couple of days - hubby in hospital with back surgery - but should be able to get back into the swing of things shortly!
@joansmor Thank you for understanding! He is tough as nails and itching to get out of hospital.
BTW - I meant to thank you for all your comments and favs while cruising my project. Very much appreciated!
I like both versions but, although I'm loathe to side with hubby on anything, I do prefer the colour version. The contrast between the blue markings on the plane and the autumn colours is spectacular. Well done, 2x!
Hi Wendy I was missing your pics then I read your message above. I hope your husband is recovering well and that you are keeping well, take care Wendy.
