For the 52 week challenge that I am slowly doing - all out of order of course, but I am setting my sights on getting them all done.
This particular challenge was "Imagine that it is the last frame on a roll of film, and you have to nail it. For this challenge only take one shot. No deleting, no 2nd shot. The honor system is in play."
So, I wandered around this old barn to see what was available before actually taking a shot. Then, I meticulously checked and double checked the settings on my camera, looked through my view finder as I walked back and forth to get the proper angle, took a deep breath, and finally pushed the shutter.
I liked how the blue door echoed the blue of the sky, which is why this shot was chosen.
Nice shot. I agree about the blue door. I used to love that about film, how precious each shot was, and a splurge was when I took two or three pictures of the same thing.
What a cool and unusual design. I like the worn look of the blue door but love the patterns on the wall itself. Looks like tree stumps placed into the brick work 😊
@paul10 That is exactly what they are. It is called a s stack wall design. Not sure the reasoning for doing it this way - probably so that they can use any wood rather than long lengths of logs.
What an interesting looking barn with the wood rings in the walls like that... don't think I have seen anything quite in that style before. I think this is quite beautiful barn actually and well done on getting it on one shot, fave!
