Looking for Dry Land by farmreporter

Looking for Dry Land

While it may look as if these geese are climbing onto dry land, it is actually ice clinging to the shoreline that they are climbing onto. The brown specks on the white ice may look like dead grass but ... we all know what happens to white ice when there is a huge abundance of geese hanging around!
The rock is just a large rock found in the shallow river.
The photo found in my Altered States album ( http://365project.org/farmreporter/altered-states/2017-03-13 ) shows just how many of these critters were looking for better nesting grounds.
My get pushed challenge for the week is motion given to me by Laura so expect a whole more 'action' photos!
Here's my first motion shot, Laura @la_photographic . They may not be moving fast - but they are moving.

Very nice shot, and the way the geese are following the diagonal line up does suggest the motion well.

Nicely done Wendy. The fella with his wings open looks like he's trying to maintain his balance 😀

Even better on black. Really like the PoV and how there is the very cool diagonal of geese and ice.And the geese and water are so close in tone. This is really cooll
