Eastern Ontario's longest canoe race, the annual Raisin River Canoe Race, was held today with over 300 canoes entered.
The river was a record high level, so not only was the starting point moved to avoid a series of rapids that are normally navigable, but participants were forced to portage one point of the river.
This lady deftly steered her kayak through this stretch of rough waters. There were many who were not so lucky, and had a dip in the cold water for their trouble.
