Parliament Hill Resident

It is said that only weasels inhabit Canada's Parliament Hill but I have pictorial evidence that there are a few groundhogs living there as well!
On a more serious note, groundhogs have been losing their natural territory to cash crop farming. Fields that were once pasture or hay land is now plowed regularly so they now find homes in more urban settings.

Oh, never seen one of these before! Fave. Sad to read that they are losing their environments. We have the same problems over here with urban foxes (they are incredibly common now in towns and cities but shouldn't really be here) and with birds losing their habitats due to extensive farming practices, so much so that some bird species have become endangered.
