Lianna Bull @kiwinanna challenged me to do a high key portrait since she did not see any in my project.
Well ..... I don't usually do portraits but my hubby was relatively cooperative although only to humour me!
Technically this is a good example of high key portrait - but it leaves a bit to be desired for creativity!
According to all research I did on high key, the lighting should be even with no shadows with a white or light background.
This was done outside on the back deck late in the day with a white sheet hanging from the clothesline. No external light source or flash used - just the rapidly fading light from an already set sun.
And, it is a two-fer. For the get pushed challenge and the on-going NF-SOOC-2017 challenge.
Here is one attempt, Lianna @kiwinanna. Looks rather like a passport picture - should have posed him differently! Must work on that - I do not direct people very well.
@farmreporter HI there - a good attempt. Well done -and thanks to your cooperative husband too. I have read that if the subject is also wearing light clothing (white teeshirt) this also helps get that high key look. Good for you going for the two-fer as well.
