There are always multiple combine fires every harvest. Combines are the massive tractors designed specifically for harvesting grains such as wheat, corn, beans and such.
It is such a shame. These machines are very expensive, and it is so scary for the person driving it when it does start up. The fire can get out of hand very quickly - within minutes - and nothing can contain it.
I must be starting to get my energy back ... I am once again carrying my camera with me and looking for photo opportunities. This happened when I was on my bus run to pick up the kids from school this afternoon.
Oh there's no good .. pretty expensive loss for the farmers... there are problems with tractors catching fire here as starlings make nests under the bonnet..have to remember to leave bonnet up while not in use.
When I was a child, my grandpa had an old rusted combine, and it was my favorite place to play. Looking back I can remember it being everything from Cinderella’s coach to a rocket ship. Your picture makes me sad. But it is an amazing capture.
