This is my second attempt at HDR using Lightroom and Photoshop - and it does make a difference.
While you still can't see a lot of detail in the very back of the barn - it is a heck of a lot more detail than what was seen without the HDR processing.

Is that some snow dusting outside? Great that you have experimented with the HDR. I do like the more subtle HDR, like how you've done it here and with the book.
I must say I rarely set my camera to 3 different exposures and then combine them in LR to HDR, but it's good to have knowledge of it.

As a matter of fact - you do see snow on the ground. It was a most miserable day with snow and rain. I was soaking wet when I got home from this shot - and Shadow was wet, a full of burrs and buzzies.
But - it was nice to get out anyway!
