April @aecasey challenged me to make a photo using complementary colours. Well, since I have never considered colours and how they relate to each other, I had to first learn what complementary colours were!
I now know that green is the complementary colour of the primary colour red, purple and yellow, and finally orange complements blue. I also learned that you get complementary colours by mixing two primary colours. For example, if you mix red and blue you will get purple, blue and yellow will give you green.
I know this is basic for most of you, but I was never an artsy person and always geared my courses to the sciences.
I was most pleased that youngest grandson wore a green shirt to meet my challenge requirements nicely. Here we see both blue and yellow that would make green if mixed together, and then a ton of red with the shirt as its complement.
