Turkeys Have Found Us

We are getting up to 25 turkeys at a time visiting our bird feeders. They are just like sheep and flock together. Where one goes, all will go.
They are quite shy and elusive so we keep quiet in the house when they show up. They prefer to walk everywhere as opposed to fly although they will fly if they want to escape quickly.
I am quite surprised that they prefer black oil sunflower seeds to the corn I put out for them. Just like kids, they will eat the corn once all their favourite food is gone.
This was taken on a dull, dreary, and snowy day. I can hardly wait to get a shot of them on a sunshiny day that will do the colours on their feathers justice. They actually glow very nicely in the sun.
Our turkeys are quite bold and arrogant. They will cross a street in traffic and give the drivers an annoyed look.

This is a beautiful photo of the turkeys. They're much more colorful than the ones we have here.
