One of the biggest blessings of being a spare bus driver is that I occasionally have the honour of doing field trips and charters to places I would not normally go.
I did a charter for a group of grade 5s and 6s from Morin Heights, Quebec to a wilderness camp to learn Aboriginal culture and survival skills.
There was a small herd of Bison (buffalo) at this camp with a number of bulls. This old gentle guy was once the dominant bull but has recently been beat out by a younger male. You can almost see the sadness in his eyes.
The eyes of a buffalo are the clearest I have ever seen. The reflection in this guys eye is that of the gate I was leaning up against to get this shot.
