It is a nasty day out there today with a ton of rain falling, turning all snow into a sheet of ice and creating a soft mist over any existing ice.
It promises to turn to freezing rain tonight as the temperature drops. Lovely!

I have mixed feelings about thin ice. I know people like to go ice fishing, skating, and such but I am no fan of winter.
As Dave Barry the comedian said "The problem with winter sports is that ... now follow me closely here - they generally take place in winter!"
