Snowed In by farmreporter

Snowed In

Val Petersen @valpetersen challenged me to capture a strong contrast of light and shade that might work well with low winter sun position and the snow. However, we have had only the one day of sun since I was issued that challenge, and that was the day I received the challenge.
So, our yardlight has illuminated the apple tree quite nicely and has given some strong contrast. We adapt to our conditions as we can!
Val, @valpetersen - I have not had the sun as I had hoped this week. I do want to do your challenge properly and will get out on my first sunny day!

A great shot and a very clever one too.

@farmreporter that is absolutely stunning! Love the way the green gently lights and enriches the background, and the way the shadows behind the tree pick out the texture of the snow.
It looks like we're paired again next week - would you like to keep same challenge (in hopes of a sunny day?) or have a new Challenge/partner?

@valpetersen
I am really pleased to be paired with you once again. It does not happen often where we get paired twice in a row!
The same challenge works for me. although I think I will sit down and issue a different challenge for you.

Interesting colors and the light does cast shadows on the left.

Exactly what Val said in that initial comment...only adding how much I like the curve of the foreground.
