The Historic Raisin River

This is a tag challenge entry with the tags of landscape, history, and Flash of Red2019.
This is a shot of the historic Raisin River where I used sepia to give it a historic look. This portion of the river is in Glengarry County just a mile downstream of Williamstown where David Thompson, the early explorer, once lived.
According to the Canadian Encyclopedia:
David Thomson was called “the greatest land geographer who ever lived.” He walked or paddled 80,000 km or more in his life, mapping most of western Canada, parts of the east and the northwestern United States. And like so many geniuses, his achievements were only recognized after his death.
Simon Fraser also launched his explorations from the shores of Raisin River as it flowed down to the St. Lawrence River.
It’s lovely. Glad to read your narrative also. I don’t see a Flash of Red though.

@louannwarren
I guess I considered the Flash of Red to be the whole month of B&W with only the one day that has a red selective colour. So - this is the B&W side of things ... should have put a bit of red ribbon along the shore I guess!
