My Get Pushed challenge this week came from Lynda, who asked me to take a portrait shot using my Nifty Fifty lens (actually a vintage 55mm lens but that's a technicality!)
It came to this afternoon and I suddenly realised I hadn't done this challenge, so I headed to Folkestone Harbour steeling myself to pluck up the courage to ask someone if I could take their picture. Just as I was on the verge of defeat, a young girl walked by with the most adorable whippet pup tucked into a shopping bag. He's called Cosmo and is 11 weeks old, and in the shopper as he hasn't had his second set of innoculations just yet Believe me, he is gorgeous!
His owner was very happy to let him be photographed, and agreed to be in the shot too. A lovely chance encounter and it enabled me to meet the challenge :)
@gardenfolk I haven't got her email address, and I didn't ask her name either - was just so grateful she'd agreed to let me take their picture. I always feel awkward asking for someone's name but think I ought to tell them mine first and then wait to see if they volunteer theirs!
@fbailey A good idea to break the ice. When the photos turn out so nice, I thinks it is nice to offer to send them a copy. If they don't want to give out any info, then that is that. Their choice. :)
