I have told everyone in previous pictures that when I was 11 I decided I wanted to be a chef and I carried that out, so I thought I would go a different direction for this picture. Before my culinary explorations and love of cooking came about I was a little girl that wanted to be a ballerina. I wanted to dance in the Atlanta ballet. I took dance lessons until I was 17 and realized that I would never be good enough to dance professionally. I kept this pair of pointe shoes... my last pair. They are a bit warped and don't seem to fit my feet properly now but I can still feel the dance in them.
You have the figure for dancing, I can see that! I was mad about ballet too as a girl and would dance on the lawn in the moonlight dressed in a frilly petticoat (dancing is like dreaming with your feet). I had to decide university v ballet! Education won!
i can imagine you exquisitely doing pirouette across the dance floor and doing splits in mid-air but with such grace that your audience would think you are floating. in those pointe shoes! and perhaps if it's you onstage, i could watch without falling asleep like i'd did every time i watched ballet. :-) gorgeous!
@maggiemae@kali66@flyrobin@amandal@mikegifford@summerfield@bill_fe Thank you all so very much for your comments and views. I am ridiculously busy lately and I feel terrible that it takes me so long to respond and thank you all. I truly appreciate your support of my photography though. You never cease to make me smile. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!
