temps at -15 with a windchill of just under -20. not bad for an icy exploration of the neighbourhood i call mine for the last 2 years. save for people going to work and were waiting at the bus stop, the playground, the football field and the parks were deserted. taking this self portrait was quite a challenge.
As there are no fresh traces in the snow in front of you, I guess you made a long detour to place the camera and go back to your position... Or is it a photo of your mean twin, you then left to freeze? 😂

no, i didn't have to run at all. and no, it's not my evil twin. i buried her under all that snow already.
when i took the shot, i had planted a long branch at that spot where i ought to be. then when i got home, i took a photo of me when i got home in the evening, overexposed the image and layered it onto where the branch was for proper perspective. i said taking the self portrait was a challenge because i had to put on all outdoor gears indoors and the heat in my apartment was rather high, so you could imagine how hot and sweaty i was. i had to overexpose the shot, but not overly overexposed.
