Pricus, Father of the Sea-goat race, turns back time to try to prevent his children leaving the sea and taking to the land, losing their powers of thinking and speech, losing their ability to live in the sea with him, leaving him alone. But no matter how many times and ways he tries , his children always follow their destiny. Being immortal becomes a terrible burden until Chronos lifts him to the sky where he can watch over his children, even as they climb mountaintops.
There are many times I have wished i could turn back time, to right aspects of my children's lives, and give them guidance in hindsight, and yet i know in my heart that their destiny is not mine to determine. A bitter pill, but having a big picture view on life I know that ultimately my job is unconditional love.
