Our local church fete used to be in the vicarage garden but nowadays it’s in the churchyard. The day is always enjoyable. I’ve helped run the cake stall for years and years. Although it’s still a popular stall, tastes have changed and folk aren’t as keen on sweet stuff as they used to be.
