Pinhole orchid

Was going for a Rayograph type of effect. Hmmm. Does look better on black.
Another stressful class today with three laptop crashes in an hour. Decided to bypass the head of School and go straight to IT support. A very helpful man called Chris has got me sorted and hopefully I will hear from the courier tomorrow. Pleeease let it arrive before Monday.
Beautiful image, the shine make them look silky

@judithg well, we don't teach in the summer except I've agreed to do a summer school in Beijing. It would be nice to make the trip but I cant see it can you?

@judithg also I won't be able to come to tea at your house like I did at the Cambridge summer school.

@jgpittenger well a Man Rayograph is achieved by placing objects on photographic paper and exposing them to light. It gives a translucent effect. Nothing so clever here. I just selected the pinhole option in Silver efex and then played with curves to try and get a similar look. Probably works a bit because the orchid is semi transparent.

@fueast you must have the latest version of silver eyes. No pinhole in my version. This is gorgeous. Yes I went to look up the Rayograph and read how it is done and couldn’t imagine how you had done that technique with this
