Back over at the pond today I found a group of drakes clustered at the bottom of some trees semi hidden in the roots and leaves. These two were right at the water's edge. They all seemed to be males, in the group, so I'm not sure if the females are all off sitting on nests. The females blend in so well with the browns and greys of branches and rocks that they are a lot harder to pick out.
