Drift and Diaphanous

This drift wood picked up a piece of diaphanous grey fabric somewhere in it's travels.
My original thought was to turn this into a B&W to highlight the texture of the wood but I found I just couldn't give up the soft mixtures of blue/grey/beige in the original coloured version.

Fabulous shot! Love the tones and textures. When I was little, we lived on the water and I used to collect pieces of driftwood. It always reminded me something. In fact, the piece in the left hand bottom corner of this shot reminds me of the bottom of a foot (with toes).
