Seed Head

I have to confess that I have a minor obsession with peonies, especial tree peonies, from the beautiful blooms they produce in the spring, to their elegant foliage in the summer and fall and, finally, to the seed heads they carry in the winter. I love the satin smooth black seeds nestled in the tough wrinkled outer pods.
