We have a few cheeky jays around here, I'm not actually sure how many. I'm sure there are at least 2 as I've seen that number at the same time, but I kind of feel like there may be more. They like to drop in, perch on a high spot to survey the garden, then swoop down to wherever they see whole, in the shell peanuts, they grab one and take off into the trees, where I'll then hear some tapping or hammering sounds.
