A few years ago, I used to have a night garden. It included a lot of white plants, like moon flowers that opened at night and whose white colour made best use of the very limited light in a night garden and others like night blooming nicotiana, and night blooming jasmine, that tend to release most of their scent at night. Then life got busier and I let the night garden go. But, the other day, seeing this pale clematis in a dim, dusky, corner of my shade garden brought back memories of sitting out in the evening garden, watching the moonflowers glowing in the dusk and smelling the sweet scent of the night flowers in the breeze. Not sure I'm ready to take on all the work involved again, but I'm glad that I once had a night garden, and now have the memories of once enjoying it.
