Coal Storage by gardencat

Coal Storage

Continuing with the China file...still going up the Yangtze, we passed coal storage areas, on the bank of the river. My understanding is that the coal is mined further back in the hills then brought to these riverside storage bins. From there it is loaded on to barges and moved via the Yangtze to other areas for use. Which explains the barge we had seen on the river the day before. https://365project.org/gardencat/this-and-that/2017-04-13
Interesting capture.

@leananiemand Not in China now, I was there in 2005 but, I have been going through old photo files with the intention of culling and backing up my collection. And then I started re-processing some of them and posting them here.
