Two in the Bush

A starling and a robin sharing the same branch. I'm not sure what was so special about this branch, there were a lot to chose from but for some reason both birds must have liked this outlook. I think this starling is transitioning from his winter plumage with white spots ( seen on lower chest) to his summer all over black plumage.
Wonderful odd couple. Super light and focus on the starling's eye. Black is so hard to do! His colors are really coming through too .... Bet there was some pretty sounds coming from that tree.

Such a blue sky!

@quietpurplehaze The sky was quite blue and cloudless but I did crank the saturation a bit to bring up the colour in the starlings neck area which deepened the sky too. I find that it is easy to notice the colour when you see them in person and they are moving and catching the light, but it's hard to catch those colours so well in a photo without some post processing.

I like this for the symbolism, even distant cousins can share some sun together without issue. Fav!

Lovely capture against that lovely blue sky and lovely iridescence on the starling.
