In a corner of the garden where I am very bad about picking up last fall's debris I think I have created a perfect haven for snails. On a grey, misty, day it's common to see a lot of them perching up high on branches of various plants but I've never before seen one going through the slow, and rather graceful, movements that this one did. I think it might have been trying to reposition from one branch to another but, not being able to get inside a snail's head, I can't tell for sure. Better on black.
@joysabin I was showing this picture to someone at work yesterday and her comment was, "it's a good picture but I'm starting to get itchy now, so I'm going to stop looking." I guess snails are not many peoples' favourite subject. I dislike them for what they do to my hostas but find them kind of cool to watch.
