A blast of nostalgia for today...a tree that's not there.
This tree stood, for years, in the front yard of an old farmhouse. At some point, it might have been struck by lightening. I know it went through damage from at least a couple of ice storms and yet it kept on growing and getting bigger and more twisted. About a year or so ago however it was felled by the march of ever expanding suburban housing.
I came across this old shot of it today, and decided to post a little homage to its long life and persistence. I tried to give a slightly other-worldly and ghostly feel to the shot.
