A section of a much larger tiled wall I came across in Lisbon. While most wall art I see on the streets around here is done with spray paint, I noticed while travelling in Lisbon that they had a number of outdoor walls that had huge mosaics done in brightly coloured tile. I'm not sure who does these or how they are assembled but they do make eye catching street features. I took this small section of one of them and added the frame in pp.
In French. I wonder who contributed this part of the wall art. I did visit your link but no clues there. The only time I would read anything in translation is if I did not know the source language e.g. I recently read The 16 trees of the Somme by Lars Mytting - I recommend it!
@quietpurplehaze It was a much longer wall and there were visual references all through it. We had a guide with us that day and he did point out a number of things in the image that related to the artist, or historical events, but it was at the end of a long day and mostly things I knew nothing about to start with and so, by the time I got home 4 weeks later, they had all flown out of my mind. Even that little note in the bottom corner about Andre and 60.60 was a reference to some specific thing I believe.
Creative the way you've framed this image. Had you not mentioned your editing I would've believed it to have been framed when you photographed it! Tile art would have to involve a lot of time, I would think.
Thanks for the complimentary comment share on my Dove for D photo the other day. Sweet of you to visit.
